2018 Student Library Research Award (SLRA): FAQs

2018 SLRA FAQs

1. Can I submit a paper which was written as a group project?

No. Only individually-written papers will be considered.

2. I'm an English major, but I am really proud of an Education paper I wrote this year. Can I submit the Education paper?

Yes! Any paper written for any class will be considered for the 2018 SLRA. Regardless of the class discipline. And regardless of your major.

 3. Can I ask my advisor to write my faculty letter of support, instead of the course professor?

No. The letter of support must be written by the professor/instructor, who taught the class for which the paper was written.

4. Can I submit more than one paper for consideration?

Yes! You may submit more than one paper, as long as each paper fulfills the eligibility criteria and is sent in with its own set of application materials.

5. I submitted a paper last year, am I eligible to enter this year?

Yes.  You can submit a paper (or papers), every year you are enrolled as an undergraduate student at Felician.

6. I'd like to speak to someone about my application. Who should I contact?

You can contact Jodi Shelly (Assistant Director of University Libraries)  at 201/559-6070 or shellyj@felician.edu.
