What is AI?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to computer systems that can perform tasks that usually require human intelligence.

Generative AI is a type of AI that creates new content based on patterns it has learned from large amounts of data.

Chatbots are computer programs that use AI to interact with people. ChatGPT, CoPilot, Claude and others are AI- powered chatbots.

It is important to know that AI cannot “understand” what you’re saying the way a person does. It’s not thinking – its generating text based on probability. Each AI model uses complex algorithms to predict a response based on patterns it has learned from large amounts of text and data.

AI models like ChatGPT are trained on huge collections of text from the internet, books and other sources. They use complex algorithms to find patterns and generate responses that seem intelligent.

How does Generative AI actually create responses?
